한-불 나노소자 및 포토닉스 협동연구실(LIA) 공동 워크숍을 5월 19일(월) 부터 2일간 수원 나노소자특화탭센터에서 개최하였다. 동 워크숍은 KIST와 프랑스 국립연구소(CNRS)를 중심으로 수행중인 "나노포토닉스 공동연구실(GRL과제)" 사업의 일환으로 개최되었으며 프랑스 CNRS 레시당 LIA 공동대표, 마리아나 노엘 주한프랑스대사관 과학관 등 프랑스 측 인사와 문길주 부원장, 이정일 박사, 조용훈 충북대 교수 등 70여명이 참가하여 한-불 협력방안에 관한 의견을 나누었다. 문길주 부원장은 환영사를 통해 지난 2006년 설립된 한-불 나노포토닉스 협동연구실이 연구인력교류, 공동연구 등에서 훌륭한 성과를 내고 있다고 격려하고, 앞으로 동 사업이 한-불협력의 수범사례로 발전할 수 있도록 노력해 줄 것을 당부했다. 한편 이정일 박사는 19일 프랑스 정부로 부터 한-불과학기술협력 증진에 기여한 공로로 "교육공로훈장"을 수여 받았다.
