Dr. Kil-Choo Moon Appointed as the 22nd President of KIST

Dr. Kil-Choo Moon received a certificate of appointment as the new President of KIST on November 26, 2010, from Prof. Dong-Pil Min, chairman of the Korea Research Council of Fundamental Science and Technology (KRCF).
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Ottawa in 1978, Dr. Moon received a master’s and doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota. And in 1991, he was appointed the Manager of the Air Pollution Laboratory at KIST. Since then, he has actively served at KIST as the Director of the Technology Transfer Division, the Director General of KIST Gangneung, and the Vice President of KIST. Recently, he was also the Director for National Science and Engineering Programs of the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).
The inauguration ceremony for the new President of KIST will take place at the KIST Johnson Auditorium on November 30, 2010, after which he will officially begin his activities as the 22nd President of KIST.
