Danish R&D Delegation Visits KIST

An R&D delegation from Denmark visited KIST on February 7 to get introduced to KIST, the leading R&D institute of Korea, and to discuss future collaborative activities.
The delegation discussed with Dr. Kil-Choo Moon, president of KIST, on various topics such as Denmark’s areas of strength, including biotechnology, energy, and nanotechnology. Also, Dr. Moon introduced KIST’s main research areas and shared other details that matched the interests of the delegation.
After the discussion, the delegation visited the Center for Intelligent Robotics, where they enjoyed a welcoming robot demonstration and participated in games using robots designed for elderly people. Dr. Mun Sang Kim, director of the Center for Intelligent Robotics, also gave a brief presentation, introducing the robots currently being used in Denmark and the cases of utilizing robots for the treatment of mental diseases.
