Vice Chancellor of NM AIST-Arusha Visits KIST (8.17)

Professor Burton L.M Mwamila, vice chancellor of Tanzania Nelson Mandela African Institute of Technology (NM AIST-Arusha), visited KIST on August 17, 2010.
Prof. Mwamila met with KIST President Hong Thomas Hahn, and discussed about the critical role KIST had played during Korea’s rapid economic growth. They agreed to cooperate by accepting exchange students from NM AIST-Arusha to the KIST International R&D Academy. Professor Mwamila also showed interest in attending the 2010 Seoul S&T Forum in November.
NM AIST-Arusha is part of a network of Pan-African institutions located across the continent. These institutions are the proud brainchild of the Nelson Mandela Institution which envisions to train and develop the next generation of African Scientists and Engineers and impact profoundly on the continent’s development through science and technology applications.
