KIST-IRDA Colloquium with Egyptian Ambassador
Egyptian Ambassador to Korea, H.E. Mohamed Elzorkany was invited as a speaker of the colloquium of International R&D Academy, KIST(hereinafter "IRDA") on July 16, 2012. IRDA has invited ambassadors like H.E. Katherine Stevenson, former US Ambassador, and presented consistent colloquiums for prospering students' foresight of international sensations and humanities and social refinement.
At this moment, the Ambassador gave a lecture and had heated discussion with over 80 IRDA students subjected on " International and Political Issues". After the colloquium, students commented that they could earn outlooks of radical political change of middle-east and vistas of the global future.
The ambassador was welcomed by KIST President Dr. Kil-choo Moon. They discussed further cooperation between Korea and Egypt. The ambassador highly evaluated Korea's growth and capacity of S&T. Both of them expressed their firm commitment and willingness to carry out S&T cooperation through KIST and IRDA program.
After the session, the ambassador met and encouraged 7 Egyptian IRDA students. He requested them not to be influenced by their country's political issues and to devote themselves to their academic pursuits for the future of Egypt and World.
