KIST Signs MoU with KENTECH
The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST; President: Dr. Seok-Jin Yoon) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH; President: Dr. Euijoon Yoon) at KIST’s headquarters in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul on November 29.
The two organizations will comprehensively pursue cooperation,
through activities including exchanging data and information about R&D and
education, organizing a researcher exchange program for R&D and educational
cooperation, exploring and implementing joint research, opening joint research
workshops, and more.
Dr. Euijoon Yoon, President of KENTECH, said, “We look
forward to creating research outcomes which can make signification contributions
through active research cooperation in fields with high industrial impact, such
as energy, new materials, and environmental.”
Dr. Seok-Jin Yoon, President of KIST, stated, "It is
meaningful to have a cooperative relationship with KENTECH, which aims to be
the world's best in the field of energy. As it is also located near the KIST
Jeonbuk Institute in Wanju, Jeollabuk-do, we expect that this will lead to a
great deal of practical cooperation taking place. I hope this MoU can serve as
an opportunity for us to share our research outcomes and excellent human
resources.”
The MoU signing was attended by Dr. Seok-Jin Yoon, President of KIST, Dr. Hyun Kwang Seok, Director of the Research Planning & Coordination Division at KIST, Dr. Byoung Koun Min, Director of the Clean Energy Research Division at KIST, Dr. Jin Young Kim, Director of the Climate and Environmental Research Division at KIST, Dr. Euijoon Yoon, President of KENTECH, Mr. Seongju Park, Provost and Vice President for Student and Academic Affairs at KENTECH, and Mr. Sang Chul Han, Dean of Strategic Planning at KENTECH.
